Overview
Drawer AI is a US-based construction technology company headquartered in Austin, Texas. It was founded in 2021 by Den Lavrik, Nick Latsis, and Vadym Vorobiov, who are the company's chief executive officer, chief operating officer, and chief technology officer, respectively. Drawer AI was established to address inefficient PDF-based workflows in electrical construction and preconstruction.
Its web-based platform analyzes construction drawings and identifies electrical devices and lighting fixtures. It creates conduit routes, calculates wire requirements, and generates project reports for electrical contractors. The founders brought experience in construction, engineering, virtual design and construction, business operations, and software development to the company.
Software
Drawer AI works with electrical drawings in PDF format: users upload their drawings to the web platform, where the software reads the symbols, lighting schedules, and panel information. It then finds electrical devices and fixtures and connects them to the correct panels and circuits.
The software can plan conduit routes and calculate wire sizes, wire lengths, voltage drop, and derating. It can also combine several PDF pages into a single floor layout. This is intended to prevent duplicate counts when drawings overlap.
Users can review the results before downloading them. The platform generates an Excel report detailing device quantities, properties, and wire lengths, along with a marked-up PDF that shows the planned routes.
BIM services
Drawer AI provides generative AI tools for electrical Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC). Its BIM Wizard service, available on request, produces coordinated three-dimensional Revit models from two-dimensional PDF electrical drawings, with conduit routing generated by AI.
Uses
The software is designed for commercial and industrial electrical projects of different sizes, including retail buildings, offices, hospitals, data centers, schools, and industrial facilities. It can process complex drawing sets containing thousands of electrical devices across dozens of sheets.
Business model
Drawer AI is available through subscriptions, with plans based on the customer's team size and number of projects.
